I always imagine how some things are easier to draw than to say…
2nd + 3rd layer still in progress.

Every finished portrait is just a mountain of ‘mistakes’ and raw lines nobody sees at the beginning. First layer ✔️

Light Play Portrait (X)
30 x 43 inches
Graphite and Charcoal on 640gsmArchival paper

This is a series that examines how human experience imprints itself onto the body, not as visible scars, but as shifting patterns of presence and absence. Using controlled light as both a tool and a metaphor, the works research the tension between what shapes us and what frees us.

From sketch to color…
This is my second study for oil color on paper and it’s pushing me toward a larger work.
