Still coming to terms with how special a night last Saturday was. It was so heart warming seeing so many people I know and love coming together in a place that is very important to me. Bute is such a magical wee island, and it was amazing to see so many of you experience it in that light.

Something like this only works when you have a group of people who are all on the same page, doing it for the right reasons. I think everyone involved understands the importance an event like this can have on folks wellbeing. It’s the community and connection in its purest form, and i think it really impacted and reminded people how important it is to get out and experience that sort of connection in a time when it’s easy to feel so disconnected and isolated. I think the location played a big role in that regardless of if you believe in the spiritual significance of the land.

I’m so very grateful for all my pals, my girlfriend and family that helped me oot. A special thank you to Gib the land custodian who was very trusting with the vision. Also to all to the punters who came and treated the land and dance with the respect it deserved, zero drama and cleaning up after yourselves when you left.

Out to all of the DJs who would have all blew the roof off if it had one! Every single person played flawlessly and got the brief spot on.

Humungous respect and thanks to @jamesjjjohnson for his role in the organisation & the @exitglasgow cru for running a smooth operation!

Out to @klaus_tanum and @mellowdramatics_ of the @tanumsound for setting up the rig, which has to be one of the top sounding systems in the UK.

Thank you to Ealana & Prentice who smashed the BBQ.

Anyway, enough of my pish! Thank you everyone for coming and see you next year,

I have just returned to Montreal after spending the last 4 months driving across the US and Canada living in the back of my van! I travelled 14,000 miles in total, hitting most of the National Parks in the Rockies and the west coast of the states. I worked some pretty mental jobs and met some of the kindest and most generous people I’ve ever met. Doing something like this really restores your faith in humanity. I’m looking forward to not having to find a river to swim in and a place to do a shite every morning.
