This one needs no introduction!!!

Graded a CGC 8.0 — Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime Script. EPISODE #1 !!!!

It doesn’t get any better than this. Where it all began. The genesis of Yu-Gi-Oh! Aired in Japan April 4th 1998.

The debut of major characters and monsters that built the franchise of it is today. Spanning across 28 years and going strong.

The longest running card game anime of all time. With more than 1,000 episodes. With GX, 5D’s, ZEXAL, Sevens etc. It all had to begin somewhere and it’s right here in this script, in this episode. Not only it’s the FIRST appearance of Yugi, Kaiba, Solomon, Joey. Blue Eyes White Dragon, Dark Magician and one of my favourites, the instant, un-negatable alternate win condition, Exodia the Forbidden One.

But we all got to see how the very FIRST battle took place. It revolutionised the anime and merchandising landscape blending the 2 seamlessly. Creating what it is today. A multi billion dollar industry. And it all began HERE!!! by @aokiscomichouse

Dragon Ball Script episode 229

Graded a CGC 9.4

But more importantly it is signed by Ryo Horikawa, none other than the Japanese voice actor of Vegeta. He has been voicing Vegeta for 37 years and is viewed as a legend in the anime community by his peers.

Voicing as the Prince of all Saiyans with the high confidence, to cocky at times with the aristocrat attitude. Matching his pride, elegance and brute style. Over the years we’ve seen Vegeta’s character evolved from the selfish character to a more family and father oriented but never once compromising on his training to be the strongest.

And this is what we see in this episode when he allows the evil to overtake him to become
Majin Vegeta where he takes on Goku is one of the most epic battles in Dragon Ball history.

The last real battle was way back at the beginning of Dragon Ball Z episode 30 where Vegeta won. And it was no different in this episode. A corner stone in top historical anime fight scenes to the anime that pathed the way for the anime culture that it is today. I can’t wait for Super to resume and see Vegeta in his new form. by @aokiscomichouse

Dragon Ball Z Episode 103 “Pathos of Frieza”

An actual voice actor used script with the extremely rare blue cover. These production scripts are incredibly difficult to find, and this is currently the only known copy to have surfaced publicly.

Graded CGC 9.8.

Originally aired in Japan on August 14, 1991.

Up until this point in Dragon Ball Z, Frieza had been one of the most feared beings in the entire galaxy. This is the iconic episode where the balance of power finally begins to shift.

Even at 100% full power, Frieza’s body can’t sustain the form. His energy begins dropping rapidly, time starts working against him, and for the first time we truly see Goku take control of the battle.

The iconic fights are the cornerstone of the Dragon Ball IP. They’re the moments that define the characters, push the story forward, and stay burned into the memories of generations of fans. Goku vs. Frieza is one of those fights. It’s one of the battles everyone remembers, and Episode 103 captures a pivotal moment when the tide finally turns.

Owning an artifact directly connected to the production of such an important scene is incredible. This isn’t just memorabilia from the series it’s a surviving piece from the making of one of the most legendary fights in anime history. by @aokiscomichouse

Dragon Ball Mystical Adventure PRELIMINARY SCRIPT

The only known copy graded or raw to have surfaced. Graded a CGC 9.0.

Released in Japan, July 9 1988.

The rarity of this piece is not only that’s it’s a script but it’s a preliminary script (hakogaki). This is when the directors and writers plot and map out the movie. Figuring out dialog, events actions, characters, flow of the movie, etc. You could say this would be a “Test” script in layman’s term.

This movie took part after Goku and Krillin finished training with Master Roshi. Just before the Martial Arts Tournament saga.

Toriyama fans like myself appreciate how he incorporates Arale into the Dragon Ball franchise and we see her pop up once in a blue moon even in Dragon Ball Super. It makes you think given how powerful Arale is, did Dr Slump know Dr Gero. This could make a very interesting arc by @aokiscomichouse

A new benchmark for manga.

Weekly Shonen Jump #51 from 1984 introduced Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball with its first chapter, featuring Goku and Bulma.

This landmark issue has now earned a BGS 9.4, the only copy at this grade and the highest-graded example in the Beckett population report. by @aokiscomichouse

Highest Graded.
💎💎💎💎💎
Top Pop.

The beginning of Dragon Ball’s legacy. This isn’t just a collectible, it’s the origin of a worldwide phenomenon. Dragon Ball became one of the greatest stories ever told in fiction, and it all started here.

Just to hold this in my hands and stare at history, preserved in the best condition possible, is something I’ll never forget. The aura surrounding this piece is absolutely unreal.

More to come. by @aokiscomichouse
