Week 5 of the @painkllr 16 week Marathon Program and we are already hitting Personal Records. Ran 21k today a Half Marathon. I could have carb loaded more the day before and maybe have not drank 3 beers but it was a good family day and the moment needed it🍻 Today’s goal was to just run it under 2 hours, started later than I wanted to cause as you know El Niño is here and it’s HOT🥵 Just had an hydration bottle and salt stick gummies, didn’t need my gels on this run. I went for it, my legs was heavy to start I knew it was going to be a struggle but I powered through. I didn’t really pay attention to the pace more so on my heart rate. I stuck with a comfortable heart rate between 170-175 never letting myself redline. So in the grueling heat we pushed through and hit a Personal Best today. Thanks to @conradmar @painkllrapril for always pushing me and coaching me up. Also my training partner @weezy5738779 for always putting the battery on my back!!! GROWTH OVER FEAR, something that was instilled to me by the two people that forever changed the trajectory of my life. Those three words gave purpose to my life. Made me more intentional. I no longer shy away from life challenges or obstacles, I face them head on full speed ahead. Over the years I’ve learned so much from @conradmar and @painkllrapril I’m forever grateful for them because I am the Man that I am today in large part because of them.
