Took a little road trip out to Colorado to hangout with the old highschool gang. It was great being able to see old friends, explore the country, and take some time to relax. I even got to experience my first @professionalsoftballleague and become a fan of @thekcdiamonds by @apacholski2

Well, back to reality. Sweden was one of the greatest trips of my entire life. I got to explore some amazing places, visit old friends, and make some new ones. I even got the most adorable bunkmates ever in Malmö. I definitely will be revisiting. by @apacholski2

Feeling a little bittersweet today. I no longer am a homeowner. I officially sold my home back in Omaha. While I'm happy and relieved, I'm also a little sad to let it go. It was a great little home and I have some very fond memories of it. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did. taken in Omaha, Nebraska by @apacholski2

It's with an insanely heavy heart and blurry eyes that I post this. This morning, Hera passed away. She was the greatest dog anyone could ever ask for. She was not only a dog, but my adventure buddy, copilot, confidant, cuddle buddy, protector of the house, and fur baby. She helped me get through some of my lowest lows and highest highs. I find peace in knowing that she's no longer suffering and is hanging out with her buddy, Bailey. We'll be together again someday. Long live the queen 👑. by @apacholski2

Hera had a follow up appointment today with the neurologist and they said she looked good. Her right side is still weak, but she walked fine, reacted well, and overall seemed to be in good health given the circumstances. They said to keep monitoring her and that she may have a good, few months. Knowing Hera, she'll be stubborn and stick it out for as long as she keeps getting wet food with each meal. Here's to some positive news for the new year. by @apacholski2

Got delivered some of the worst news of my life, this week. The Queen Hera had to pay a visit to the ER on Tuesday. Over the past couple of weeks she started to act like she was confused and then was struggling to maintain her balance. My vet said it could be something spinal or neurological, so he recommended I go to the ER. She stayed a couple of nights. While there, they did an MRI and discovered a mass in her left, frontal lobe. Unfortunately, it is incurable. They did recommend some meds to help with the inflammation and provide some peace and relief over the next few months. I brought her home tonight and she ate, drank, and rolled in the blanket just a little wobblier than usual. However much longer we have together, I'm going to make sure she never forgets how much I love her and how much she changed my life. by @apacholski2
