And so it ends…To Terri Spann:Thanks for trusting me with this team of incredible athletes. I know every Storm team is special to you, but I’m sure this one was tough to let go of. Your belief in me to manage and lead them means more to me than you will ever know.To Evan and Lee:You are both incredible volleyball, coaches, mentors to these girls, and such supportive partners to me! I can’t thank you enough for your insight, willingness to challenge decisions, and feedback that was necessary to get us where we needed to be. To the team (family):I can honestly say, and have said that my excitement to coach this team was based less on your notoriety, physical gifts, and winning record and more on the people that you are. The way that you love each other, push each other, and compete for each other is unmatched. I could go on and on with specific examples of your selflessness, how much fun you guys are just to be around, and how much I enjoyed listening to your interactions, questions, hardships, and jokes. I love each and every one of you and I am so grateful that I got to be a little part of your history. To the parents:The reputation of “club parents“ is well documented on social media. You guys exemplify character, integrity, support, and “team first” in a world where parents consistently worry about their daughter’s interests first. I would be proud if my daughters end up anything like yours! All of them and any of them! Finally, to my family:My wife Shanda listened when I needed to talk, understood when I put extra hours in preparing for tournaments or practices, and held down the fort at home while I was off, pursuing my passion. My daughters, Evvy and Alex were the ultimate supporters of our team, watching at home during all of our out-of-town tournaments, leaving me, “good luck”cards and “congratulations” cards when I got home late after they were in bed from tournaments, and always asked about how the team was doing. Special thanks to Evvy for making me my “good luck” bracelet that I wore thoughout Nationals, which will be hung on the trophy in the Storm gym for years to come. by @apayne9

16 Thunder wrapped up the season finishing 6-3 at @usavolleyball Girls Junior National Championships. The season showed our depth and ability to compete with anyone in the country. Top 5 or better in every tournament during the regular season, AZ Region champions, 5 committed athletes (and many more to come) and finished the season with every player contributing and playing our best volleyball at the very end. Blood, sweat and tears, relationships built and grown, and a team full of amazing people playing for and supporting each other for more than just the game. #success Thank you to our parents for supporting ALL of our girls and cheering them on like they were your own, trusting our staff regardless of opinion or individual hopes, and most importantly trusting us with your daughters future and well being. Thank you to all the chaperones and live stream and Hudl crew. The unsung heroes for dragging around snacks, iPads, tripods, medical kits and more to support us.To the Team:Every year is ended with a very definitive feeling for me; In the past I’ve left nationals feeling disappointed, relieved, happy, content, and loved. This year I walked away for the first time with a feeling of sadness, for no other reason than knowing this time was over. A good sadness. It’s a sadness that comes from hours of time spent caring, working, struggling, succeeding, and repeating, TOGETHER AS A FAMILY. A sadness of longing for one more practice, game, tournament, or conversation. A sadness that makes me want to even delay posting this. I just REALLY didn’t want it to be over with this group. The depth, ability, personality and love of this team was seen every day in our gym and on the big stage. Selflessness and Excellence. Every relationship I have experienced this year has made me a better coach. Much love to you guys and forever here when you need me or a new story (or maybe one you’ve heard 3-4 times). A season I will never forget. @azstormelitevbc #boltzup by @apayne9

So proud of how Evvy and her whole team competed at volleyball festival 2026! 6-5 record for the tournament and finished the season playing their best volleyball of the season. So much credit and love to coach @chris.pixler and coach @emwatson2 for the coaching and support. Fun fact coach Chris and I have now coached each other’s daughters, both setters! Proud of this 12 Boltz Team! by @apayne9
