MEF Attends A Place Called Home’s 2026 Homecoming Gala-

What a wonderful evening supporting APCH and the incredible work they continue to do for young people throughout Los Angeles.

MEF Assistant Program Director Payton Sprouse attended alongside Gavin Todd, Assistant Director of Admission at Mount Saint Mary’s University, for a night centered on opportunity, community, and helping young people believe in all that is possible for their futures.
It was so meaningful to celebrate a mission that creates opportunities, encourages growth, and continues to make a difference in the lives of students and families.

We are incredibly grateful to A Place Called Home for having us and for the care, dedication, and heart they bring to their work every day.

Cheers to a beautiful night and an even more meaningful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for students ✨

We asked our youngest members to tell us about the APCH Shaheen Scholars who interned with us through the Lockridge Summer Associates Program, and their reviews did not disappoint. 💌

From riding the bus on field trips to cooking in the kitchen, helping with homework, and checking in when someone was having a quiet day, our scholars showed up for our littles in big and small ways. Some of them, like Ms. Denice, grew up at APCH themselves, and now they’re the role models. 💛

Swipe for the sweetest notes (yes, someone got a 10/10 Yelp review 😂). Which one is your favorite?

We had such a wonderful evening supporting A Place Called Home, an incredible organization making a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged youth in Los Angeles. ❤️

It was a beautiful night celebrating a mission that creates opportunities, inspires young people, and empowers the next generation to reach their full potential. Grateful to be part of an evening that reminds us how much of a difference we can make when we come together for a good cause.

Happy Halloween from A Place Called Home! 🎃👻

Watch as our youth took on the APCH haunted house, designed and constructed by our teen leadership council - and the screams (and laughs) say it all.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!
