Some of the most exciting developments in Parkinson's research involve DNA and RNA‑based therapies. But what do these treatments actually do, and how close are they to helping people with PD?

On October 14, join Dr. Gilbert and biochemist Dr. Kevin McFarthing for Part 2 of our 3‑part series: Understanding DNA & RNA‑Based Therapies.

You’ll learn how genetic and molecular approaches work, why researchers are so hopeful about them, and what these therapies could mean for future PD treatment.

Let's talk live! 🗣️ APDA is hosting free, quarterly group discussions centered on speech therapy for Parkinson’s disease (PD) with @lingraphica, starting on October 7.

If you’re in speech therapy now, considering it for the future, or just curious about what's available to you and what it's like, we'd love for you to join us online!

Each session will explore various approaches and exercises that support speech, swallowing, and communication in PD. Come share your experiences, ask questions, practice exercises, and gain practical tips that can help you feel more informed and confident when working with a speech-language pathologist.
