What’s real and what’s AI?

More than you might think @cultgaia ✨

The model is real. The styling is real. Hair + makeup are real. The clothes, poses, lighting and original photographs are all real.

Once the shoot was complete, the next step was moodboarding environments and exploring where these images could live beyond the studio. AI location integration was then used to take the original photographs and build a new world around them.

Same model. Same clothes. Same photograph. A completely new context.

This is where AI gets exciting — not as a replacement for photography, or for the stylists, hair and makeup artists, models, assistants and other creatives who bring an image to life, but as another tool within that creative process.

The human decisions still come first — the casting, styling, lighting, composition, expression and point of view. AI simply opens up another layer of possibility, allowing an image that already exists to travel somewhere entirely new. taken in New York City by @apekshagarwal
