Hi!! Nice to meet you! I’m @wesleyneikam (he/him) the artist behind Aperitif Design Lab. I created Aperitif as an outlet during my search for an art form and medium which would speak to me. I never expected it to be glass! Sharing myself and my art with the public is intimidating but here in my corner of the internet I’m striving to be open and vulnerable while wearing my heART on my sleeve.

So a tad about me.. I’m 36, Pan & Poly, originally from Pennsylvania but I’ve been living in Delaware for ~10 years. In the last few years there have been a lot of changes and growth in my life and starting in November I’ll be splitting my time 50/50 between Pittsburgh PA with my partner😘 and in Delaware, until I transition to Pitt full time. I’m on the lookout for Pittsburgh friends, mates..or dates 🤭 Hit me up 🤙

Dog Dad to Heinz🥰, you can find me smiling until my cheeks hurt (I’m terrible at “bear smile” 😆), I like rewatching Doctor Who, bravo reality tv, cooking, the beach, singing in the car..both in and out of tune…surprise goof-off out of tune car performance of Gaga if you keep scrolling lmao…I also love naughty photoshoots, sexy snapchats, and the permission to turn them all into art!

Doctor Who: A sci fi adventure about a regenerating, gender swapping alien trying to make the universe a better place. Twas only fitting I incorporate the trans flag 🏳️‍⚧️ colors into the tribute panel for my new place. Wait until you see the front side!

I started the series with the 11th doctor Matt Smith, who I’ve long considered MY Doctor. However, after some soul searching and deliberation… the 12th, Peter Capaldi really has it all, he’s my Doctor.

Who is your Doctor? Eccleston? Tennant? Smith? Capaldi? Whittaker? Gatwa? Lemme know in the comments & tell me why!

It’s so nice having all my glass out and ready for use now! The studio is almost operational 🥳

Is today the day?! Can the glass be unboxed?!

Moving to PGH has been awesome but omg tiring. Soo many thanks to @juanny_r for the long hours helping me get the main level to the finish line! 😘

I can now focus my energy to the 2nd floor - bed, bath & THE LAB! I’ve missed seeing and working with glass a lot. I’m ready!
