“The Last Kiss” – Giada Scannapieco (2025)

A man and a woman lean into one final kiss, their faces marked by tears. It is the moment just before goodbye—the end of a relationship, a bond breaking apart.
A continuous vortex of rapid, gestural curves surrounds and frames their faces, creating a sense of agitation and emotional intensity. Red embodies pain, black speaks of mourning and loss, while graphite defines the shadows of their expressions. The raw white of the canvas amplifies the contrast, bringing this intimate and heartbreaking scene into sharp focus.

Acrylic and graphite on canvas, unique piece, 40 × 50 cm.
Available at APERTO Gallery.
