Another brief video summarizing our week of creative activities which we facilitated in July for children with special needs at Kitanga primary school in Kashambya village, Rukiga district.

We spend 5 solid days engaging children in dance, creative movement & games, upcycling, sewing, graffiti & street art, Beadmaking, physical play, painting murals, pop-up shop, performances and more.

This is the 5th year in a row we have collaborated with Edirisa UK to bring creative learning to young people with disabilities in village community.

Endless thank to you to our dedicated, passionate and service driven team of artist educators - Mark, Darius, Brian & Pencil.

Our past event brought together academics and artists to explore how decolonial theory translates into practice.

Panelists and artists shared how they navigate, challenge, and resist dominant Western frameworks of knowledge production, reflecting on the current realities of UK universities, artistic practice, and research in 2026.

The discussion opened up questions around what resistance can look like from within institutions, and how decolonial approaches can continue to create space for alternative forms of knowledge, practice, and research. by @apex.zero
