Jimmy Buffett was the captain of my soul when I was young. He was able to travel the world getting paid for doing what he loved. I followed his lead and moved to Aspen in 1979 to pursue my photography. Our paths crossed constantly. For a while I dated the nanny to Savannah Jane his 1st child. I would always see Jimmy playing in the local bars or with John Denver playing at the Deaf camp fundraiser on Snowmass mountain. Seeing those 2 on stage together was a real "Rocky mtn. high". After reading his novel "A Pirate looks at 50", I bought the same plane that he learned to fly in, a Lake Amphibian which my wife Yvonne and I flew to many of his Caribbean watering holes.20 years later I bought a boat from a guy in Palm Beach and as I was leaving I noticed "Buffett" written on the trailer. Yep, it was Jimmy's boat, that he used for catching bonefish in the Bahamas. Rest in peace Jimmy, you put a smile on millions of faces....and inspired me to live my BEST life. by @aplusinsurancebob
