Phillip Reeves @phillipreeves_ lives and works in London. This is the second time he is presenting his work at bEam arts. These pieces represent an experimental continuation on the series of paper traditional Greek costumes that he exhibited at the venue during spring of 2025. At this stage, he is moving away from traditional colors and forms. He incorporates textual elements onto the paper garments, as well as material scraps from a body of work called "Flounce", which is set to be exhibited at Apodec @apodec in October 2026. His artistic exploration of the garment aligns with an artistic lineage that includes the taut, minimalist canvases of Giorgio Griffa and the cutouts of Henri Matisse, as well as Matisse’s designs for the vestments at the Chapelle du Rosaire de Vence. An additional influence stems from the tradition of "Joss Clothing ", the burning of paper garments during East Asian rituals of remembrance, which introduces concepts suchas transience, offering, and symbolic exchange. These references coexist with more familiar, nostalgic imagery, such as 20th-century paper dolls, where the garment transforms into a realm of play, imagination, and control.

Apodec presents FLOUNCE, a new body of work by British artist Philip Reeves, exploring clothing as an autonomous subject, suspended between painting and object.

Through life-sized paper garments, Reeves investigates the relationship between clothing, identity, desire and absence. Drawing on Greek folk dress, art-historical references and the nostalgic imagery of paper dolls, the works transform familiar garments into objects that are at once intimate and inaccessible.

Based in London, Reeves works across painting, drawing and paper-based practices. He holds an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London, and has exhibited internationally in Europe, the United States and Asia. His work has been recognised with awards including the Wytham Hall Painting Prize and the Husk Studio Residency Award. taken in Apodec by @apodec

Το Dream Horse είναι μια νέα σειρά χειροποίητων textile art έργων της Δάφνης Ζαχαροπούλου, που ξεκίνησε σαν παιχνίδι και εξελίχθηκε σε έναν κόσμο από μοναδικά άλογα.

Κάθε άλογο ζωγραφίζεται στο χέρι, με χρώματα και μοτίβα που δημιουργούνται αυθόρμητα τη στιγμή της δημιουργίας. Ίδια μορφή, διαφορετική προσωπικότητα — κανένα δεν μπορεί να υπάρξει ξανά ακριβώς το ίδιο.

Μια έκθεση για τη φαντασία, την ελευθερία και τη χαρά του να δημιουργείς χωρίς να γνωρίζεις από πριν το αποτέλεσμα.

Ο Apset παρουσιάζει για πρώτη φορά μια ριζικά διαφορετική κλίμακα εργασίας: 1200 μικρά έργα σε μέγεθος post-it.

Ένα εκτεταμένο πεδίο εικόνων που μεταμορφώνεται καθημερινά, καθώς τα έργα αφαιρούνται και αποκτώνται από το κοινό.

Ο τοίχος δεν είναι σταθερός. Είναι μια διαδικασία σε εξέλιξη.

200 από τα έργα συμπεριλαμβάνονται στην πρώτη έκδοση του καλλιτέχνη με τίτλο “A.Post it”. Ένα πολύ ιδιαίτερο βιβλίο-κατάλογος σχεδίων από τον ρεαλισμό σε μια πορεία προς την αφαίρεση.
