The River We Dare To Look At (2026) - Official Trailer

I usually wonder how much weight we place on our gaze back at the moments that seemingly changed the course of our lives. This story grew out of my reflections on some “what ifs” hidden within family memories that I accidentally knew last summer. A few months later, thousands of miles from home, in Prague, those moments glitter again one night through the mess of mind. I decided to turn that conceit into fiction. A story about memory, narrative and retrospection.
It was my first time shooting on 35mm film and working across 3+ languages. The process wasn’t easy, but looking back, I’m happy to see the glitter still glitters.

Thanks to @thebhfilmfest for having us screen Pioneer of Love here as our LA Premiere. The past two days felt like drifting through bubbles of love, happiness, dreams and memory. Things are new yet unimaginably exciting for us.🥹
Shoutout again to our cast and crew, and the people I want to send special thanks to. The nurture stays so long and leaves its traces.
And thanks to the amazing festival programming! This is our first time bringing our own work to a festival of this scale, yet somehow it felt like being held within family.
Hope to see you in the future! by @apple2004forever

It’s been a year!? In the past year it was brought up again and again that so many genuinely wonderful connections were rooted here. Wheelchair/skateboard/trunk dollies, road crossings, auditorium, jsq, family footages, THE PEOPLE, and everything under that damp spring sky… Back then, things were young, dreamy and just somehow spinning here.
Precious memory from the very beginning to the very end. More beautiful things are coming up, and new things too, from all of us.🥹🤍
And thanks to @yoyooo_919 for recording these. by @apple2004forever
