.Inside the place we fell in love with with at first sight.
The old stone walls.
The history it carried from the 1800s era.
We knew this place had potential and our vision is slowly coming to life…

September 2025 we moved in.
3 months later and we’ve got plenty of odd jobs to do.
We are not in a rush but we are mortgage free with no alarm clock, and we’re determined to rescue this Barossa Adelaide hills cottage into the cosy, homiest little home it deserves to be. 🍎🏡🇦🇺

moving to the countryside has made us question what we actually need in our home

since moving into our 1860s stone cottage, we’ve been paying more attention to what we use every day, from the food we grow to the products we clean with.

welcome to a slow Sunday reset at @applehauscottage, with @sir.teddycocker + @zara.thecottagecat supervising as usual

today we’re trying the Clarity Home Pack from @earthclearau , Australian-made, plant-based cleaning essentials as we work towards a more sustainable little homestead.

🤎 what’s one sustainable swap you’ve made that you’d never go back on?

Sunday reset at our little 1860s Australian stone cottage @applehauscottage 🍎

Lately we’ve been slowly swapping our everyday cleaning products for lower-tox alternatives as we finish them, rather than trying to change everything at once.

Today’s reset with @simplyclean_australia Australian made, plant-based cleaning products that are pet + child friendly, with refill options too.

Did about 4 loads of washing, dishes, floors + all the little jobs that somehow take up an entire Sunday with zero help from @sir.teddycocker of course 🙃

Do you really know what you’re actually cleaning your home with? 🌿

After being so sick the past few days, it was finally time for 3 loads of washing, dishes + a much-needed cottage tidy.

Since moving into our 1860s country cottage @applehauscottage in a small countryside town in the Barossa and bringing home our cocker spaniel puppy, we’ve been looking more closely at what we use around our home + our pets @sir.teddycocker + @zara.thecottagecat

Starting with @simplyclean_australia - 100% Australian made, plant-based, scented with essential oils + pet and child friendly + refill options.

Follow along as we try to make our home lower-tox, one swap at a time.
Love @lindaandgabriel 🌸

THINGS I’M CHANGING IN MY 30s | PART 2

Being the first in my family born in Australia and the only girl in a Cambodian Asian family with 5 brothers was confusing 😂

Asian family: stay out of the sun, you’ll get too dark.
Australian mates: let’s go to the beach and get as tan as possible.

And somehow this tomboy who grew up with five brothers still got sucked into the makeup and beauty trends 🤦🏻‍♀️

I haven’t worn makeup in almost 10 years, and now I’d rather spend my money on looking after my skin and hair naturally, reading what’s actually in products and supporting Australian-made brands like @thejojobaco + @springfieldsaustralia .

Turns out I spent years trying to fit the mould before realising… I actually quite like my own mould 💕

What’s one beauty trend you look back on and think WHY on earth did I do that?

Follow for Part 3 of Things I’m Changing in My 30s 🌸💕🤙🏽

ADELAIDE, if you’re looking for something to do this Saturday, I found you a little country hidden gem. And yes! You can bring your dog! 🐶🌸

Just over an hour from Adelaide, between the Adelaide Hills and Barossa, the @springgardenfestivalsa is back in Mount Pleasant this Saturday.

Think 100+ stallholders, flowers, plants, local makers, food, live music + the @mountpleasantfarmersmarketau . You’ll also find @sophiespatch , @hannah_moloney and Katie + Rob from @blumeestate_ , formerly The Little Lyndoch Flower Farm, there on the day. Plus many more!

And yep, dogs are welcome on lead, so @sir.teddycocker, our little country hospital volunteer pup, is coming too. Come say hi if you spot him!

📍 Mount Pleasant | Sat 19 Sept | 8am–3pm
If you’re attending tag your business below or say hi in the comments!

spend a typical morning with me + my 5 year old cottage cat 🐈‍⬛

breakfast served, @sir.teddycocker supervised, litter boxes refreshed and then straight back to her tower to continue doing absolutely nothing for the rest of the day.

and yes… Zara has two different litter boxes because apparently one bathroom simply isn’t enough for this household 😅

Zara’s morning essentials:
💜 @applawsanz meals
💜 @poowee.australia cat litter
💜 @petsnowy_official automatic litter box (links in bio)
💜 @lolopawsau cat tower
💜 @paddockpaws_co pet tag
💜@albernandco collar

just a very spoilt Russian Blue living her best country life 🤍

what’s the most unnecessary thing you’ve bought your cat that they now absolutely cannot live without?
