🌳Adélard is pleased to launch a call for proposals in curatorial practices for its 2028 outdoor exhibition.

⭐️This call is open to curators from Canada and abroad who wish to develop a curatorial proposal rooted in a rural setting and explore the possibilities of presenting art in unconventional spaces.

🏠 The program combines a research residency in Frelighsburg in 2027 with a group exhibition presented from May to October 2028. The residency will provide an opportunity to further develop curatorial research, explore the area, and identify potential sites.

⁠
The #TC2 is a computer-controlled Jacquard loom designed specifically for experimentation and research. It allows makers to quickly translate ideas into woven material and experiment with imagery, structure, weave constructions, materials and colour.⁠
⁠
During a working period from January to June 2027, selected participants will have the opportunity to independently develop their research within the professional and creative environment of the TextielLab. The residency is intended as a period of exploration and development: the final outcome does not need to be fully defined in advance.⁠
⁠
We are looking for makers with a background in art, design and/or textiles, a clear research question and an inquisitive, research-driven approach to computer-controlled weaving.⁠

Applications are OPEN for the Film Independent x Humana Foundation Shorts initiative!

With support from the Humana Foundation, we’re bringing together five U.S.-based director/producer teams to create short films that explore the lives of senior citizens.

Each project will have a $100k budget, along with support from development to distribution.

This is also the first time Film Independent is stepping into the role of both funder and producer, rather than just a supporter of independent film!

The Fellowship Program annually awards six emerging artists based in New York City with their first solo exhibition, professional development programming, curatorial support, and mentorship during a 12-month fellowship that runs September–August. Est-Nord-Est invites visual artists and authors to apply for an eight-week residency focused on research and experimentation.
