Been a while since I've posted my favorite picture 🥰
I remember the entiiire day.. TWENTY YEARS - How!?
2 Entirely different lifetimes. & I can still feel like the little girl who absolutely adored her Poppop. & Even after all this time; wishes she got wayy more time than she did..
34 year old me wishes for more pictures, videos, phone calls, anything, little notes (I don't have any, I just wish even for his handwriting.) Sometimes I'm sad for 14 year old me. Grief will force you to better understood how life works. It isn't fair nor at all simple. (& Fuck Cancer.)
But here I am, standing tall & maintaining strength. Well trying to at least.. I just hope he's proud. ❤️

The more years that pass me by, the more I find myself being more alike this head-strong, funny, & amazingly tough woman. & I ask myself how could I ever live up to her !? Then I remember how proud I am to have her blood running through my veins. & I embrace it all.
I miss her everyday. How has it been 6 years??
I have such fierce woman to look up to.. & that's what I try (my best) to do. Especially today 💔
I love you Grandmom. Rest Peacefully 🫶 by @apreteroti29
