🏈🧡💙 TOUGH DAY AT THE OFFICE ON TUESDAY😜

Some days at work are just harder than others… and today was definitely one of those days! 😂

Traded the office for Empower Field at Mile High for a little behind-the-scenes stadium tour and some Football 101 schooling! 🏈

From walking on the field to checking out the stadium from top to bottom AND getting a massage from Miles the Mascot… I’d say this was a pretty ROUGH day at work! 😉🤣

I could definitely get used to office days like this! 🧡💙

Oh. My. Word. 😂🏀🎈

I had someone book a last-minute balloon setup this past weekend for an early morning event. I showed up, got to work, and THEN realized who I was creating balloons for…

Y’all, had I known, I DEFINITELY would’ve worn a better shirt! 🤦‍♀️😂

It was for Lonnie Walker, one of the newest Denver Nuggets! 🏀💙💛 And let me tell you… he was SOOOO nice, genuine, and down-to-earth!

And apparently, he’s a ROMANTIC! 😍 He had a florist setting gorgeous flowers AND a guitarist playing live music. 🎸💐 Like… sir, you are making the rest of us look bad! 😂

And he may or may not be 6’4”… meanwhile, I’m over here feeling extra 5’0”. 🤣

Such a fun and unexpected morning for Elevated by April! 🎈 I love getting to be a tiny part of people’s special moments—and sometimes you never know WHO you’re decorating for! ❤️

What an HONOR and privilege! 🇺🇸🏒❤️🤍💙

I was blessed to once again sing “O Canada” and “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the annual 80+ USA Hockey Hall of Fame Game! 🎤🇨🇦🇺🇸

Pictured here are LEGENDS. 🏒 So many years of hockey, so many memories, and SO many incredible stories represented by this amazing group of men and women.

There’s just something special about watching them lace up their skates, grab their sticks, and get back out on the ice doing something they’ve loved for decades. What a beautiful reminder that age is truly just a number! ❤️

So grateful I got to be a small part of such a special day again this year. 🇺🇸🇨🇦🏒

Here’s to the legends who keep showing us how it’s done! 👏

A New Chapter in the Journey — Going Home Day! 🏡❤️

Today has been a LONG day! We have officially claimed our family word for this next month: PATIENCE! 😜 And yes, we could definitely use some prayer for that too!

Unfortunately, Charles has continued having cluster headaches, which we are super bummed about. Cluster headaches are awful on their own—add a broken back into the mix, and it’s just a lot.

He is currently in between neurologists, and the hospital wasn’t able to prescribe the oxygen concentrator he needs for his cluster headaches. Oxygen with a full-face mask on 10 has helped him tremendously in the past, so tomorrow I’ll continue trying to track one down. He has a telehealth appointment on Friday, and we’re praying his doctor will be able to prescribe it and that we can hopefully have one by the end of the day Friday. 🙏

Today, though, he got to ring the bell and GO HOME! 🔔🏡 When you leave inpatient rehab, they have you ring a bell, and the lady who walked out with us was so sweet. The majority of the staff at UCHealth Broomfield were absolutely amazing, and we are incredibly grateful for the care Charles received there.

It’s hard to believe that as of yesterday, it has already been two weeks since he passed out. So much has happened in such a short amount of time.

Tonight is our first night home, so we’re praying for a smooth night as we figure out this new normal.

I think Charles might already be missing his nurses 😂… although he is definitely glad to be home. Unfortunately for him, he came home to Nurse Ratched. 😜🤪

There is still so much to figure out and navigate, and I know there will be good days and hard days ahead. But we’re going to keep taking it one day at a time, asking God for the strength, wisdom—and apparently lots of patience—for each new day.

Thank you for continuing to pray for Charles and for our whole family as we begin this next chapter. ❤️🙏

❤️ A little update on Charles…

For those who haven’t heard what happened or are wondering how Charles is doing, I’ve created a CaringBridge page where I’ll be sharing updates throughout his recovery.

The last several days have been overwhelming, but God has been so good! 🙏🏼 It could have been so much worse! We’ve already seen prayers answered, including Charles being approved for acute rehab. PRAISE THE LORD! 🙌🏼

Thank you for all the prayers, love, and support. We truly feel surrounded by it. ❤️
