Squeezing on to their littleness like a line on a fishing reel, it’s slipping away from us. Dad worked on their fishing techniques while I cuddled my babies. I thought about the pain motherhood possesses. Its seeing your heart walk outside of your body and it takes off running with every inch that inclines on their growth chart. We cant rewind the cassette tape, it’s a digital world where technology moves at an unfathomable rate. Being on the water at least gave us a sense of stillness. I have the hardest time posting galleries like this one, where their love is so deep and so true, every moment, second and image is perfect because their love is palpable. Unpredictable ground. We drive and walked around Yellowstone park and it was the most magnificent place we had ever seen. Sun, snow, geysers, mud pots, lakes, waterfalls, streams….wild life….it didn’t feel like this place was real.
