We are so excited the #BroomeTwins leveled up last week to yellow belt! They both were super excited, committed, and worked hard. The week before testing was white out week where they trained like they would test in every class. Julia even got her last stripe in the last class before testing, her blue stripe for board breaking!

After an hour and a half of testing, they both were belted at the same time. Then, they were asked to hit a power pose. Alexandria chose a guarded stance while Julia hit a kick hold! We are very proud of them both for their accomplishments. Now they will train for the next belt, Green, which comes with sparing! Oh joy! It's been a busy few weeks with the #BroomeTwins. They have both thrived at @tigerrocknation! I am appreciative of the discipline and life lessons they are learning. They have progressed well, each at their own pace, and on their own paths. So far the stripes earned include:

Alexandria: white for belt tying, red for recitation, orange for board breaking, and blue for form. She is excited to get green for crescent kick and wrist escape.

Julia: white for belt tying, red for recitation, and blue for form. Next up is board breaking for her!

11 years married and 17 years total with my favorite person! Today looks different...he let me do yard work...we will go on a date later (thanks Khloe 😀). I still remember my favorite day in 2015...we decided to go to the beach with some great friends and have a blast. @muscadinebline played at the after party and it was awesome! And just like that, we have a Junior and two 4th graders! I've already cried several time, dreading next year. My sweet babies are babies no more. In fact, Juju and Aliboo went to the open house at @tigerrocknation and earned their first belt. Juju was in awe at the sword and nunchcuks on the wall! Shes in Ninja heaven! However, she was mind blown at Alexandria's board break! Its been one year. August 8th was the last day I spent with him, had a conversation with him, loved on him and he saw me. David called the night of August 9th to tell me he needed one more surgery. One more attempt to fix the new issue. I dropped it all and went. I found myself in this parking spot (this was the first time in a year that I went back to this place), listening to this song, and as it hit me I cried. I knew what I was headed to. We arrived at 11:51pm and there it was...the news he wouldn't make it.

On August 10, 2025 at 5:15am, surrounded by family and holding his hand my sweet daddy took his last breath. Since then I've had some bad days, that turned into better days, that turned into smiles about how he might reply to this and that. He would be so proud of us all. He always was. He will always be the first man I ever loved and my biggest hero. I love you daddy thiiiiiiiismuch

I thank God for my family. For our coming together and working for each other out of love. I thank God for friends, sisters, people around us who stepped in and literally took care of us, no questions asked. Its the 10th competition season for #Khloethegymnast and she is in full upgrade mode! She has a new floor routine, choreographed by none other than the @alannajaidelee with some new tumbling to match. If only she would put this new beam upgrade to use!

Funny story...she came home one day and said, "Hey, look what I did on beam today." Amazed (because my girl does not back tumble on beam anymore), I aksed her if she was adding it and she said, "No, I was just messing around." Ok, I see you, boo! There was a lot of trauma associated with back tumbling and she hasn't performed it in over 2 years. I realize this is a road beam, on a floor, but this is growth, and I'm here for it!

What I also noticed was Jordan's reaction! Apparently her coach, who has only had her for 1 year, has never seen her back tumble on the beam, and Khloe didnt prepare her when she said, "Hey, watch this!" Me too, Jordan...me too! #gymnastics #2yearsleft @khloegrace28 @danielsbroome9052

One year ago today I climbed in a twin-sized hospital bed, curled up next to my daddy, and took a picture with him on his birthday. I didnt know it would be my last one with him. I've had quite a few emotions these last few days; remembering the timeline from that phone call in June through his passing in August. Fall 2025 is a bit fuzzy for me. Today he would be 82. That's a lot of life, a lot of change. I miss him a lot. Sometimes I can hear him giving me advice...or in my current state with a torn calf muscle (thats a whole nother post) him saying, "Well, don't do that and your leg won't hurt." Haha, profound advice! From the first time as a camper in 2016, to today in 2026 as a Couselor In Training (CIT), Twin Lakes has been a large part of the last 10 years (4 as a camper, 2 as an LIT, and now as a CIT) of our sweet @khloegrace28's life. While she still has the opportunity as an Assistant and full Counselor, I feel this may be our last year driving her to camp. She could have taken herself this time, but...Im not ready. What an amazing time spent with sisters at the #ADPi175Convention. My cup overflows with love, support, and gratitude. From mentors to home chapter sisters in leadership positions, to the expansion of my experience on the CFD and Southern District teams; I couldn't have asked for a better moment celebrating the dream of a 16 year old girl at the first college to grant degrees to women, starting the first secret society for women. Day 3 and 4 of the 175th Grand Convention of Alpha Delta Pi! The outfit changes continued to mount up! We got a free day on Friday, spending time with sisters on a deeper level, while day 4 was spent with sister Danica McKellar as our keynote speaker and Diamond dinner. I began day 3 with yoga, led by sister Rebecca Gentry and alongside my sweet sister, Christy! #ADPi175Convention

Outfit change 1, into school spirit! I repped my Lifetime Alumni pin, my years of service pin, and my doctoral pin, along with some Eagles flare!

Outfit change 2 was into the relaxation part of the day, spent by the pool reserved just for us. Great time spent with the best roomie, Sarah!

The 175th Grand Convention of Alpha Delta Pi kicked off yesterday in Palm Desert, CA! From the start, I was not alone in my journey, traveling with sisters, meeting up with new sisters, getting amazing swag, and basically having a blast! While the goodies never disappoint, what makes this such an amazing time is how much the hotel has welcomed us with flags, window decals, floor signs, and more! And don't forget the outfit changes! Haha yes, you read that right! I'm on outfit 5 in 2 days and there are still more to come! I am excited for the rest of the weekend celebrating this amazing milestone in our sorority's history! #ADPi175convention #WLFEO

Always love seeing Chelsey!! Thos Dallas flight was delayed due to over selling. We waited another hour just to board because five people needed to give up their seats. After the incentives continued to increase 3 times we finally had our last 2 seats wonderful patrons (An ADPi husband and a mom) give up their seats so 2 collegians could make the flight!
