Yesterday (22nd July), I was invited down to a private screening of @hansel.rodrigues & @lizzie.atherton latest short film Homing

It was absolutely sensational. The whole team did a terrific job, and I honestly felt it was flawless. I don't want to say too much because I really don't want to spoil it, but I was genuinely on the edge of my seat throughout

Tagline: The morning everything changes and everything stays the same

Rumour has it, it might next get screened at @watchshortslondon

Many of you know I run a film festival @watchshortslondon. Well, in a bid to make it that one-step better, I signed up to an 8-week comedy course with @ultracomedyuk taught by the fantastic @tomshortcomic

The special night had an audience that met the capacity of 300 people. I was supported in the audience by friends of multiple ethnicities (In the order they sat @c.b.duffy @neclakalin @thebikeman78 @longdistancesleepwalker @itssathyam @danieljamesbapeck) scroll to slide 2 to see why that matters 🤪

Along the way, I learnt more on how to write and deliver jokes, as well as the intricacies of crowd work too. I'm nowhere where I'd like to be with this, but it's bloody fun and a useful skill

Over the past two years, I've had the pleasure of hosting 12 events – 8 for @watchshortslondon, 2 short film screenings, and 2 music events, with audiences ranging from around 60 to 180 attendees.

7 of those events involved hosting Q&As with the filmmakers, and I love these because they give me the opportunity to speak directly with directors, writers, producers, and actors about their films, giving both me and the audience a deeper insight into the creative journey behind them

If you are an actor and you want to get involved in some high quality shorts, I couldn't recommend @mtn_films enough

They are an absolute pleasure to work with and extremely time efficient, because they've been working together for years

I've had the honour of having @joshy_washyfilms write this script especially for me, but that doesn't mean that'll happen to you 😆

Last year, I worked on a project called Wesley the Vampire – A story that follows a documentary about a violinist whose limelight is stolen by a vampire

There's two camera POV
- The Interview
- The BTS of that "Interview"

Wesley the Vampire will soon be making it's way round the festival circuit
