From Freetown to New York 🌍

Building on the momentum of the 3rd South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTrC) Forum in Freetown, Sierra Leone, we take the conversation forward tomorrow on the sidelines of #UNGA81.

Join us at Uganda House – Permanent Mission of Uganda to the UN in New York, as we take stock of the implementation of the Freetown Declaration and advance South-South and Triangular Cooperation as a tool for accelerating Agenda 2063 and the SDGs.

Line up 20 financial instruments across Africa’s capital market and only one carries a credit rating. Africa’s market is valued at approximately US$ 4 trillion, yet less than 5% of its instruments by value are rated. For issuers without one, borrowing becomes harder and more expensive, and the pool of investors able to participate shrinks. AfCRA was established to close that gap.
