While The Great Wanderer slowly grows on the easel, I’ve been filling spare hours with these little 6×8 graphite drawings.

One thing I’ve always loved is depicting dinosaurs as animals, or as mythological glimpses of the past. They’re rarely monsters in my work. Sometimes there’s tension, but more often there’s quiet wonder and a paradoxical sense of belonging.

Pending gallery approval, these originals will be available exclusively through AuSable Artisan Village in Grayling, Michigan. I wanted to offer something a little different from my usual prints: small, original drawings that tell their own stories.

I have several more planned. Which one speaks to you most so far? by @apt22art

Nothing quite as satisfying (or, at times, nerve-wracking) than varnishing a favorite. by @apt22art

Who's that dinosaur?

Are you sure you dare to challenge Ace? 🔥 As huge fans of pokemon and old style playing cards, we wanted to do a spin with our characters too.

We're showing off one of our amazing trading cards designed by Robert Jack @apt22art. More designs coming soon..!

Back our kickstarter now to get one design at random, or the full set of 6. Link in bio 🔗

If you listen carefully you can hear Heather, and her family shouting Ace's name! 😄 Talon is not only about found family but involves family! Thank you for all the support, we've just surpassed 50%! We have only 2 weeks though so we need to keep pushing!

“At the Ready” is now available as a matted print.

This little graphite piece has become one of my favorite Field Sketches, so I wanted to give it a proper presentation. Each print comes mounted in a black 8×10 mat with a 4.5×6.5 opening, ready for a standard 8×10 frame.

Available now in the shop. Link in bio.

“Eight Seconds”

I’m not personally a fan of the rodeo scene due to the potential mistreatment of the animals, but I do have it on good authority that Diabloceratops genuinely live for it.

The Great Wanderer
30 × 40 inches, oil on canvas.

After roughly 45 hours of painting spread across the summer, she’s finally finished.

I wanted this one to feel less like a dinosaur painting and more like a Western landscape in which something impossible has wandered through: enormous, ancient, and completely indifferent to the handful of riders lucky enough to witness it.

A Supersaurus wandering in and out of time, leaving nothing but dusty trackways and tall tales in her wake.

Hand-signed, full-bleed satin prints are now available for preorder in 12×16 and 18×24. Orders are expected to ship within three weeks.

I’ve had the pleasure of helping bring the world of Saurithia to life since all the way back in 2021!

Over the years, I’ve created backgrounds and environment key art for Talon and the Champions of Saurithia, helping to shape the forests, plains, and prehistoric world these characters call home. It has been incredibly rewarding to watch the project grow from those early pieces into a fully animated series created by a wonderfully talented team.

Today, Talon’s Kickstarter for Episode 2 is officially live! The campaign will help the team continue the story, create more Talon content, and keep working with the artists and creators who have helped build this world.

If colorful dinosaurs, fantasy worlds, and independent animation sound like your kind of thing, please take a look and consider supporting or sharing the campaign. Every share helps!

The Kickstarter runs September 15 through October 20. You can find the link in my bio and follow the project at @lunardragonent.

Drew this quick little scene to tuck into a print order that was running behind schedule. I liked it enough that I’m considering turning the sketch into a 4×6 thank-you card for future orders. What do you think? by @apt22art
