Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great day! Today let me tell you a little about myself:

My full name is Renzo Quiroga Arambarri, I am 25 years old, living in Mendoza, Argentina, graduated Integral Filmmaker from the school Enerc Sede Cuyo (2022). I am Motion Designer and Traditional Animator. In the course of my career I began to venture into the world of animation, tooking courses and workshops from Doble Zeta School, Conte Grand Cultural Center, La Lumiere School, among others, that enabled me to become a freelance animator and work on different projects for various clients such as the Government of San Juan, LUM growth, Kraken films, among others, in addition to personal projects.

👀 Les presentamos SWITCH 💡

Después de meses de trabajo, por fin podemos compartir nuestro primer cortometraje como Semitoons Animaciones.

Somos una productora de animación 2D nacida en Cuyo, Argentina, con la convicción de que las grandes historias también pueden contarse desde el interior. Reunimos artistas de distintas disciplinas y lugares de la región para crear proyectos con identidad propia, combinando profesionalismo, trabajo colaborativo y una mirada auténtica sobre la animación.

SWITCH marca el comienzo de ese camino. Es nuestro primer cortometraje y una primera muestra de lo que queremos hacer: contar historias originales, hechas con trabajo en equipo, talento local y mucho amor por el cine y la animación🧡

About the process:

It took us two months to get the final result.

Starting with the Idea, then the Script, and finally the Storyboard along with the Character Designs.

Once we had that, the poster, end credits and background were done. We thought a lot about the colour palette and how to show a minimalistic yet dead office.

Once that was done, the animation started. Firstly the Rough animation, with that made, Sound started to work with some first sketches and closer looks. Secondly the Clean up. Thirdly the Colour art. Fourthly the Shadows, Lights and Post-production. And finally the final mix between Image and Sound.

In short, it has been fun, tedious, interesting, frustrating and beautiful at the same time. I can't express how happy I am to see this story made with such an amazing team. Here's to more projects like this! by @arambarrianimations
