Born in Cannes to a Paraguayan mother, Arami Malaisé fell in love with the harp at age three in a restaurant where a man played every week. Now she is on stage in Atlanta, performing in Basura — the Gloria and Emily Estefan musical built around the story of Asunción's Cateura Recycled Instruments Orchestra.

She learnt more than 20 songs by ear in a matter of weeks. And her one-year-old son is cared for on-site while she plays. The full interview is on the site — worth your time.
