after a beautifully chaotic 2025, i am very excited to say that in 2026 i will be going full time freelance;

last year i lived in belfast during a very wet and grey winter, i was unemployed and had a scarce group of people around me physically at the time. during those days i would take long walks around the city. i always found comfort in nualas big, vibrant murals that dot around the city centre. during days and a landscape that felt greyishly unoptimistic, nualas works would glow neon pink, blue, green, purple. it made those walks feel easier,

Alana McKenna, 15 & April O’Connell, 14 from Greenhills, Dublin.

I met April and Alana a few months ago while shooting a short in Greenhills Park. Alana and her pals pulled up on e-scooters and promptly jumped off, b-lined for the producer and pitched herself and the girls as soon to be stars. Unfortunately that day wouldn’t be their big break, sensing their eagerness I pulled them aside to take their portrait. They showed me their handstands and quickly snapped into poses well known to them, before getting back on their scooters and flying back up the hill together.

April gave me her mums number to pass over the images, and a few weeks later I casted them in a campaign I directed for @ditsybitss
