@omanpavilion honored to be part of the curatorial team for Oman’s first-ever national pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025!
Titled “Traces,” the pavilion reimagines the traditional sablah سبلة [our communal space for gathering and dialogue] as a framework for civic architecture rooted in memory, adaptability, and identity.

![Thesis - Abstract
This research explores how Oman’s rich heritage of craftsmanship, art, and architecture can be revitalized through adaptive reuse and urban activation of disused public spaces [specifically a former port administrative building] to foster cultural identity, economic diversification, and sustainable urban renewal. Oman Biennale.
This thesis feels like a full-circle journey. Starting with studying and documenting Omani modern heritage buildings with @mukhtabr for the architectural archive exhibition, and leading to the amazing experience of contributing to the @omanpavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
