Samuel and his vessel, Heart, currently moored at the Mossy Point boat ramp. Samuel built the boat entirely from discarded marine waste and navigated across the Bass Strait from Tasmania.

Samuel and Heart will be at Mossy Point Boat Ramp this Saturday 26th Sept and Sunday 27th Sept from 10am-3pm, where families can take a closer look at the vessel and even join Samuel in creating something from waste materials.

A magic moment right off our coast.

While Humpbacks pass by in the thousands every winter, seeing a Southern Right Whale here is a rare.

- Fewer than 300 individuals make up Australia’s south-eastern population.

-No dorsal fin & a V-shaped spray are the dead giveaways.

- They love shallow, sheltered bays, often resting just meters off the shoreline.

Moments like this remind us how lucky we are to call this coastline home.

This was shot at 120m height using a telephoto drone and images are cropped.

Taking some photos for friends that purchased a new home.

5 deg air temp and 17 deg sea temp creates a nice temp inversion 🥶. Those early 6.30am morning colours are on point.

Years ago, I learned to fly planes. While I don’t pilot anymore, flying drones brings back that same excitement. Checking airspace, creating a flight plan and understanding the environment to fly in.

I like capturing the world from a view most people never see. It still amazes me that having flown here for a while there is always something new to see. 🤙 taken in Broulee, New South Wales by @aratika____
