@barcelona_cat is adapting to the new mobility and environmental needs and redefining the way of living in the city. Barcelona Council is using #tacticalurbanism to change the function of some streets quickly and cheaply in order to gain more space for pedestrians. We’ve been commissioned to design the new visual system for this tactical interventions.

Water Parliaments: Projective Ecosocial Architectures,” the Catalonia Pavilion at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, explores water’s role in shaping a sustainable future through architecture, research, and design. Its visual identity transforms 3D mappings of real Catalan bodies of water into typography, with each letter reflecting a specific hydrographic landscape.

Very proud to have received 5 ADG Laus Awards this 2026 #ADGLaus26 @adgfad

Water Parliaments received 2 Gold Laus Awards and 1 Silver Laus Award in the categories of “Corporate Identity for Cultural Project”, “Editorial” and “Experimental Typography”.

We also received an Inbook in the “Exhibition Graphics” category for Torres Quevedo.

And another Inbook in the “Poster” category for Som Barcelonines.

Mario Eskenazi (Mario Eskenazi Studio) – Jury President. Referente del diseño gráfico contemporáneo con base en Barcelona. Especialista en identidad corporativa, señalización y diseño editorial. Premio Nacional de Diseño en España y Laus de Honor 2026. Miembro de AGI.

Javier Arizu (SMLXL) – Partner & Creative Director en Nueva York. Ex Pentagram, cofundador de Pràctica y con experiencia en Sagmeister & Walsh y Mucho. Su trabajo ha sido reconocido por D&AD, ADC y TDC.

Dani Arauna (Arauna Studio) – Fundador de Arauna. Su práctica explora sistemas gráficos aplicados a identidad, espacios y campañas, con proyectos para instituciones culturales y públicas. Miembro de AGI.

Gemma Villegas (Gemma Villegas Studio) – Diseñadora enfocada en el sector cultural. Desarrolla identidades, proyectos editoriales y exposiciones con una base conceptual sólida y precisión tipográfica. Profesora en Eina.

Rachel Denti (Nike Inc.) – Art Director y diseñadora. Ex Sagmeister & Walsh, actualmente lidera proyectos de diseño y storytelling visual en Nike, desarrollando colecciones globales con enfoque cultural.
Una combinación de experiencia, pensamiento estratégico y sensibilidad cultural que definirá la excelencia en diseño gráfico este 2026.
