A Year On – Where Does 3rd Edition Stand?

It’s been a year since the launch of 3rd Edition, and in many ways the game seems to be in a strong place. New players are joining the hobby, and events continue to bring people together.

At the same time, many long-time veterans appear to have taken a step back, raising some interesting questions about the current state of the game and its direction.

In this video, we hear from communities around the world, content creators, podcasts, and channels, to get their perspectives on where 3rd Edition stands today, what’s working well, and what challenges remain.

My Army of the Dead complete for #mesbg - nice to have a second force done do quickly. I went with blue instead of green as I wanted something that looked a bit different to my friends' army. Just a few different contrast paints blended together and then a load of dry brushing. I kept the king's crown gold so that he's easy to pick out on the table. Aragorn is the only one properly painted!

SPOOKS! Been getting a quick Army of the Dead ready for the next #MESBG event at the Promethium Tank next weekend. Very quick army, and a nice palette cleanser after moving house. Wanted something different to the usual green so went for an icy blue. Wooooo! 👻

Lots of fun this weekend at our first #MESBG event for our Tale of Four Hobbits series. 16 players descended on our newly finished fantasy terrain to play 500pt games all weekend. Good, despite having fewer armies, still managed to win in the end!

Goblin Town is done! 500pts of goblin town goblins for our Tale of Four Hobbits series finished. The characters and two-handed weapons can be a bit hard to spot so I did different base rims to help. Bases are balsa wood and Agrellan Badland.

Now to paint the town itself!
