super excited to be performing my original songs that i have written for @realbrakefluid in my hometown of Loris, South Carolina this friday september 11th at @tippitiwichit !!!

as many of you know i moved away from Loris at 18 years old in 2021 to pursue my musical journey near nashville, tennessee and although that didn’t work out i found belonging in a city called youngstown, ohio when i started brake fluid in 2024. i have always wanted to perform my original music in my hometown. its great to be back and have this opportunity to share the songs i have written on my journey of self-discovery. songwriting has healed me in so many ways and i am so grateful that i have music as an outlet. i’ve learned so much about myself in the last 5 years… this will always be my home. this is where i came from and i will always be proud of that. thank you so much to everyone who has supported me along the way and believed in me. no matter where i go in life i will always have home in my heart. 💗 i hope to see you there! taken in Tippitiwichit by @arc_noodle

i wrote this song a few months ago… it’s about being in new relationships but still carrying wounding from the past and projecting those fears onto someone who never did the damage

it’s also about overcoming that guilt we carry in our lives over past wrong doings. in my brain i call them “sentimental crimes” because in a way it’s hard to let go of that narrative of who our past selves were despite change.there’s even people who still see us as our past selves when we have well evolved past it.

be gentle with yourself and love yourself through the healing… it takes time to trust yourself and others again. open up and take a chance on life. obsessing over the past just adds extra weight. all those “crimes” won’t be so sentimental anymore once you realize how much you’ve overcome and what is still in store… taken in South Carolina by @arc_noodle

i wrote this song last year after my bands 2nd tour. i really don’t care if instagram says it won’t be recommended to new audiences if it’s over 3 minutes long… why do people expect things to be so linear? what happened to just making music? what happened to being authentic? where is my soul tribe? do people really have such short attention spans? healing isn’t linear either. what happened to simplicity?
