Plot twist: the ARC reader wrote a book. 📚

I’ve spent a lot of time on this account reading early copies, reviewing books, cheering on authors, and disappearing into fantasy worlds.

And now, very unexpectedly, I get to say this:

I wrote a book.

Broken Warriors is officially out today.

It’s not fantasy—no dragons, magic, morally gray fae, or enemies-to-lovers (I know, I know). It’s a memoir about surviving breast cancer, becoming a mother, losing my mom, grief, love, and figuring out how to keep going when life looks nothing like you thought it would.

And there’s a reason I chose today to release it.

August 19 marks 21 years since the day I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Being part of the book community as a reader has made publishing my own book feel even more surreal—and, if I’m being completely transparent, a little terrifying.

But after spending so much time supporting other authors, today I get to introduce you to mine.
