Arcane Space is pleased to announce Bradley Boboc's forthcoming exhibition, Shadoobie (Shattered). The opening reception takes place on October 9 from 6pm-9pm. The show will run through November 8, 2026.

Spiritual, medicinal, and cosmetic products recur throughout the exhibition, pointing to the quasi-religious character of the objects themselves. Inspired by the esoteric oils sold in the area’s botánicas, marketed to improve one’s fortunes in love, business, gambling, and beyond, Boboc treats each object as a distinct wish or negotiation. Many of the paintings such as "Perfume Espiritual Amor" push this idea to the point of satire, asking viewers to reconcile the complex nature of prayer within the marketplace.

ARCANE Space is excited to announce the dual opening of Bradley Boboc and Felipe Dulzaides. On view October 9 through November 8

Opening reception: October 9, 6 - 9pm

From the weathered neighborhoods of Havana, Cuba, to the bustling streets of downtown Los Angeles,
ARCANE Space presents two notable artists whose work closely examines everyday life in their respective cities—its objects, language, sounds, commerce, and rituals.

Cuban artist, Felipe Dulzaides and LA artist, Bradley Boboc transform familiar elements of the urban experience into something unexpected.

Through photography, drawing, video, performance, sculpture, and sound, Dulzaides documents Havana’s knife sharpeners, los amoladores, and heir well worn family whistles. Transforming modest gestures and ordinary materials into meditations on balance, memory, and displacement, Dulzaides explores chance, circularity, and the relationship between public space and memory.

Cuban artist, Felipe Dulzaides and LA artist, Bradley Boboc transform familiar elements of the urban experience into something unexpected.

In Shadoobie (Shattered), Bradley Boboc brings the riot of color, language, and commerce from downtown LA’s Toy District into a new series of paintings. Borrowing its title from a Rolling Stones song of existential frustration, the work turns that unrest into something physical and immediate, while highlighting the enduring human impulse to question, create, and resist forces that aim to silence creativity and independent thought.

Open now - Sincere, Diana “Didi” Rojas

I Am Keeping The Imperfect Ending And Pretending That It Is Perfect, 2026 - stoneware, thread on linen 24”x36”

There is nothing more sincere than a button.
An ordinary, intimate object known for its unheroic ability to connect.
If a button could talk… it would whisper:
I am here to keep it together. I am necessary. I have been touched.
Someone took the time to put me here.
Quiet devotion
-Diana “Didi” Rojas

This new series is grounded in repetition, touch, and time. Each button was individually hand-sculpted, capturing fingerprints and texture, and recording the labor of its making.

“I am interested in the point at which the familiar becomes strange without ceasing to be familiar.”

On view until Oct 25
