I could dedicate pages to what I’ve learned and received from the men I’ve had the privilege of calling my brothers.

You know who you are. ❤️

As life grows fuller, I’m realizing brotherhood can’t just be whatever time is left over. It has to be intentional.

Time with men I respect reminds me to dream bigger, build deeper, laugh at myself, and make more art. But most importantly, it reminds me that beneath all the seriousness of life...

It’s all a play. 🎭

Grateful to @derekliveslife and @arcanebear for inspiring this trip and reminding me of the power of men showing up for each other, speaking openly, and saying yes to ourselves

To every brother who has laid a brick in the foundation of my life: I know I didn’t build this alone. 🪔

A call and thanks to my brothers

You have become family, not by blood but by reliability. Late nights carved out sharing difficult times and early mornings excited to express our passions and dreams.

When I was younger I craved connections this deep.. and as the years passed away and so did our loved ones. We grew closer.

Four non negotiables for the men in my circle.

Trust: I know, if I was ever in a jam and needed something, i could fire off a half lit message and the army is ready to show up. From cash to legal support, emotionally or to offer a perspective. I know if we need eachother, we will show up in force.

Accountability: I call you out when I see you slip. You do the same for me. No fluff, no rescue—just mirrors, steady and true. We name the miss, own the lesson, and move.

Humor: We see and respect the imperfection of being human and we can all make fun of eachother, but most importantly, we have learned to laugh at ourselves first. We don't blame others, we focus on where we fell and we laugh at the comedy of it all.

Living at the Edge: We think big and laugh at failure, because comfort is a slow death. We ignore the hills and look for mountain tops and appreciate the valleys.We drag eachother into the cold when we want to hide. I shove the mic into your hand and push you on stage. The edge is where the heart opens and the real man steps out. We don’t coddle; we dare. We step up and we ask for the most from one another.

Celebrating my 10-month Zouk-niversary 💃✨

Special thanks to @arcanebear for playing such a huge role in my journey. The night we met also marked the beginning of my Zouk journey — and we’ve been dancing our way through life ever since.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in Zouk is you get so much more out of it when you focus on having fun, playing, and experimenting (rather than putting pressure on self to get it “right” or perfect). And, as with most things in life, that lesson extends far beyond the dance floor.

Zouk has become such a mirror for life — its lessons are endlessly transferable. It’s one of the many reasons I’m so obsessed with and have such deep reverence for this art, its depth, and the wisdom it continues to reveal. More to share soon, so stay tuned 🤍

Here’s to dancing for a very long time — learning, growing, and exploring the (not-an-overstatement) endless depth of this art.

Just paint.. don't think.

There's a quote from the Bhagavadgita "You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action."

I love the sentiment of this idea. It shares this deep feeling that so many of us are attached to the outcome of our work that sometimes we never start. We look for perfection, we look for fame. We look for some type of success. I grew up around artists who could draw almost with perfect clarity. And for a long time, I was scared to share anything that I would draw myself because I knew I would never get there.

But in the middle of COVID, in 2021 I found an artist named Basquiat introduced to me by a dear friend Niko, I realized that painting and art wasn't necessarily about the end result. But the action and the time and the effort that we put in, I drew one of my very first paintings. And I auctioned it off for over $3000. The winner of that auction got to choose which charity the money went to.And I happily got to bring that cash to a local animal shelter where it enriched others lives.

I spent another day painting today.Just meditating another day, just doing the work.No worry for outcome, but just to enjoy the action.

I encourage you if you have not in a long time tried to paint to sing to dance.....Do it...Not because you want to get better, not because you hope to be the best.But just because you want to do it. by @arcanebear

I fell in love with her the very first night we met.
On the summer solstice in Bali, under the humid moonlight, my entire life changed. 🌕

I wasn’t looking for love that night — but love found me.
And it began with a single question…

“Would you like to dance with me?” 💃

I fell in love with you the very first night we met.

I will never forget it, a story I hope to share with grandkids one day.

On December 21, 2024, the summer solstice in Bali, Indonesia.

My life changed.

I was attending a local event at Akasha with my brother @je_suis_robert_miller , where two dear friends, @ama.danza & @machineeducator, were teaching a beginner zouk class. (Partner dance)

I didn’t know it at the time, but I was about to meet someone who truly changed the depth of love that I thought was possible. A love so deep I feel both humbled and sometimes overwhelmed by.
After the class had finished, I noticed this beautiful goddess standing by herself. With another man nearby whom I thought was going to ask her to dance… and out of courtesy, I waited a few moments.

When he didn’t… I tried to hide my excitement and feverishly I walked up to her and… I asked…. “Would you like to dance with me?” She responded, “Yes, of course! But I am very new to zouk; this is actually my first class!”
To which I confidently responded, “That’s okay, I am a great teacher.”

As we got close, closed our eyes, and started to move our bodies together, I felt this instant deep primal connection. Our hearts beat like drums and our spines undulating like the waves in the ocean, flowing with its currents. First, 20 minutes passed. Then an hour, two, three. Before I knew it, we were both covered in each other’s sweat. Fully embracing one another in a way I have never known possible. Becoming whole as the two of us melted away into one.
