from a post of sunshine and small joys to one of pent up anger! a bit funny icl

so for day 7 of #escapril2023 , i present this piece, an imperfect one but one of many I've been meaning to write for ages about the cursed phrase 'log kya kahengey' — 'what will people say?' my fellow south asian girlies are told their lives are not complete unless they get married and have kids (and prioritise everyone else and not themselves), which is infuriating bcs is that seriously all we mean to you? *play labour by paris paloma*

anyways, this is not a perfect poem and i might write on this more featuring some more bilingualism! but have this for today!
