It seems only right that I introduce myself so.. hello!

🧡 My name is Fred - short for Federica - and I am a Near Eastern Archaeologist with a background in graphics & analog photography. My field of study is Roman Syria, especially anything regarding material found in temples and necropolis. I loved drawing since I can remember and love creating any kind of art.

🏺I went to school in Italy & the UK, where, during Covid, I had to make some hard life changes and decided to undertake my BA in Classical Studies and Archaeology. I currently live in Italy and I am preparing to head back to the UK to continue my studies 🏺

🍀 I am a cat lady, lover of nature, I love traveling and I live and breathe coffee ☕️ For fun, I like to read books, play Animal Crossing until I go blind, all the while listening to my favorite artists and podcasts 🍀

🍁 I love taking photos whenever I go out or travel, sometimes of others, but of myself? No thanks! I made art for as long as I can remember but I never shared it anywhere...I was always too scared!

Thanks for being here and I hope you will stick around for this new journey of mine and find some new illustrations you like! 🧡

HELLO! 👋🏼

Sorry for the radio silence, it’s been a few busy weeks as I have moved back to the UK and the beautiful city of Cambridge! It’s been quite a change again, but I am happy to be back on this side of the pond.

And what better day to celebrate it than today, the first official day of Autumn? 🍂

I have also been working on a few commissions - like who’s this girl?- on new products AND well preparing to finish the MA! Wish me luck, it’s gonna be a busy year 🍀

Last weekend @rismocrafts and I did our first ever market!

It didn’t go as planned in affluence, but we learned lots and we have new insights for the next ones to come! We had great fun nonetheless!

A little reel to say HEY! I’m alive!

I have been super busy getting ready for my first market, so here’s a little sneak peak of what I made!

I actually loved making the greeting cards and there’s something purely magical to see your designs come to life!

I haven’t been around this space much lately, and there are a few good reasons behind it..

1. Our Trip to Florence
2. The heat, unbelievable and unbearable.
3. I am preparing for my first market! Which is super exciting!
4. My mental health is not in a great place…more on the slides.

But rest assured more many new things are in the pipeline! So keep watching this space!

I MADE A NEW THING!! I made an OJ Box.

This was done late at night couple of days ago while trying to survive the 40C weather. Gotta say it’s a new favourite design of mine and I can’t wait to share it more!

I made stickers, prints, greeting cards with it for the upcoming market I signed up for at the end of the month! If you are in northern Italy let me know and I will share where we are!

Say hello to Molly the Cow!

I moved there sketch of Molly onto @procreate and decided to give her some color and texture!

So here’s the process of how I turned my sketch into the final piece!

I think it suits her personality and these summer months perfectly!
