Le Corbusier once said that “a house is a machine for living in,” and his ideas completely changed modern architecture by promoting open floor plans, pilotis, and functional design.

Zaha Hadid became the first woman to win the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004. She was famous for designing futuristic buildings with flowing curves and dynamic forms that looked almost impossible to build.

Another interesting fact is that Antoni Gaudí studied shapes found in nature, such as trees, bones, and seashells, to create unique organic architecture like the Sagrada Familia. His innovative ideas were far ahead of his time and continue to inspire architects today.

Prior to the release of CAD in 1982, architectural and engineering drawings were created entirely by hand using various grades of pencils, erasers, T-squares, and set squares. Even after all that manual effort, if a change was needed, #architects, #engineers, and toolmakers had to start from scratch and redraw everything. Today, architectural designers and other drafters primarily work with a mouse and keyboard, no longer hunched over massive desks worrying about whether changes will be required to their final drafts. #architect by @archgist

Architecture can create spaces that completely change how people experience a city. The Gardens by the Bay in Singapore features giant “Supertrees” that collect solar energy, support vertical gardens, and help cool the surrounding environment, blending architecture with ecological technology.

Another fascinating example is the Farnsworth House by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, which uses minimal steel and glass elements to create a feeling of openness and simplicity, becoming a landmark of modernist architecture.

Modern architecture is also exploring living buildings, structures that generate their own energy, recycle water, and function almost like self-sustaining ecosystems. These ideas show how architecture is evolving beyond construction into a more sustainable relationship with nature. 🌿🏛️

Watching AI reshape architectural visualization.

I recently tested @typus.ai in my workflow and the speed of turning concepts into visuals is honestly impressive.

Definitely a game changer for high end renderings.

Another work day in London ✨

From idea to render in minutes.

AI-powered workflow for fast, atmospheric concepts.

I recently tested @typus.ai to render my project for a presentation, and the speed of turning concepts into visuals honestly impressed me.

Definitely a powerful tool for quick studies and client presentations. ✨

Architects don’t just design buildings.
We survive chaos.

Clients.
Deadlines.
Revisions.
Software crashes.
Budget cuts.

And somehow the drawings still get delivered.

Which one stresses you the most? Tell me below. 🏗️📐
