DAY 10 of #100headschallenge
This took a little more than the usual time i spend for my #100headschallenge, but its SO worth it because look at the colors!!! Im absolutely LOVING the purples and the blues in the skin, was a lot harder to blend and make it look natural, but oh so worth it😍🤧 #obsessed

Poster design for the super fun @dinnerbydefault ‘s Sadhya by Default🌸💥

Had to really lean into the nostalgic, old school charm of a long overdue family gathering with cousins and relatives from far and wide. Typical and atypical Onam veggies, the golden Kasavu saree and our house special monstera and peace lilies all frame this year’s Onam fest invite. (And self awarded bonus points for spotting my favourite Easter egg sneak)🍅

Finally found time to post August calendar and it has ended. A simple, almost symmetrical ode to the 6 week symmetry of August💥 by @archhiive

A birthday cake for the lovely @krishnenducb ❤️ This cake is proof that creativity and efficiency flourishes under a constrained brief. The brief was to make a cake that tasted like a coke float(a scoop of vanilla ice cream dropped into a glass of coke), and that was all the nudge I needed to experiment all my wildest fantasies that combined a can of coke with baking. This coke float cake is a result of that brainchild.

And needless to say, the cake tasted divine. by @archhiive

Despite not being a regular physical calendar consultant, I’ve always dreamt of designing my own calendar. So earlier last year, I decided to design the running month’s calendar as a poster that can hang in my room. This way I get to exercise some type/styles I don’t get to experiment with at work, have a rotating artwork on my wall that changes every month and explore some fun themes and subject matters I normally wouldn’t make much out of.

Though the ‘function’ aspect of the calendar is almost always sacrificed, it works great in simply looking good as the anchor poster of my room. And i really try to get an interesting theme/narrative every month.

And June’s theme just had to be the song representing all the junes and julys humanity as a race has ever witnessed. For this June and July, made a dual calendar for featuring the iconic June Ponal July Kaatru (translated to when June goes, July winds arrive). by @archhiive

As an avid breakfast consumer and a chronic late riser, over the last few months I have developed a very particular affliction towards the Instagram favourite solution to a “quick, protein-acious, easy breakfast” : oats.

And I of course forwent all the mealpreppy easyness of it all and developed a taste for a custom oat bowl every morning. I’d go to sleep thinking of new ways to customise my breakfast within the set, self-imposed formula of cooked oats(not soaked, mind you) + eggs/fruit + roasted nuts/seeds + peanut butter(another addiction I don’t condone).

I do think I am in capital L “love” with oats. I love how it is so effortless yet so indulgent. I love that even the most complicated bowl takes me 10 minutes at max. I love that I have to maybe at maximum wash 4 things in total before I leave for work. And most of all I absolutely love the versatility.

And I think it’s worth my love despite my mom’s disdain every morning on call with a “You’re having oats for breakfast? Again?” by @archhiive
