An open planning system rather than a closed masterplan: Doshi established an infrastructural framework of circulation networks, service lines, and a minimal building core — plinth, wet areas, connections. Residents shaped the space according to their own needs, generating over time a remarkable typological diversity.

Urbanistically, the settlement follows a central spine flanked by residential clusters of varying densities and income groups. The separation of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as well as the hierarchisation of street spaces, draws from the organic logic of informal settlements.
