*On August 21st, our friend 𝗥𝗔𝗨𝗟 and band member of Achroite was detained by immigration authorities just minutes before heading into work.

Now we’re coming together to help Raul fight his case, cover legal expenses, and get him home.

Immigration raids and detentions are impacting our communities every day. Knowing your rights can make a difference. Knowing how to respond can make a difference. Showing up for each other can make a difference.

Such a beautiful night. To reference a conversation I had with @michael_angee

“Whimzy, everyone I met this night… feels like they care. I could tell who was a random and who was community. I watched those same randoms, become community the same night.”

It’s not something to take for granted when you’re holding up artistic visions & curating the space for them to exist. Whimzy knows this and does NOT take that for granted.
