@dhrmonth Day 15: The meeting on the turret stairs

The Death Eater who fell for the Mudblood 🥀

At first I was going to show Hogwarts eighth year secret romance. But when I read about Hellelil and Hildebrand, I realised that the stakes had to be raised 💀 What's better than a secret affair? Forbidden love that's doomed from the start 💔

So here's Death Eater Draco, meeting Hermione for one last time before he goes out to duel his challengers - the Order or Voldemort, that's up to you

@dhrmonth Day 8: Victorian

Portrait of Lord Draco Malfoy and his betrothed Lady Hermione 💐

Based on a portrait by Victorian painter William Powell Frith, titled "The Proposal" (1853).

This unintentionally turned into a painting study 😅 It's not my usual rendering style, and painting on a single layer without relying on blending modes for shading was a learning experience. But I like the results.

Weird artist fact: there used to be a time when I was afraid/embarrassed of drawing kisses 😅 by @archnsha

@dhrmonth Day 23: Veela

The long-living Veela and his human mate 🥀💔

Based on the sculpture "The Angel of Grief" (1894) made by William Story for his wife's grave

Always wanted to draw a Veela Draco, and when I saw the sculpture I knew I had to dramionify it

This is my last submission for Dramione Month. From barely drawing anything for a long time to posting ten drawings in under a month, it's been a lot of fun ☺️ and also very tiring hah 😅

Thanks a lot to everyone for supporting and interacting with my posts 💕 I'm an awkward turtle when it comes to social media so I shall go back to lurking under my rock 🤭

@dhrmonth Day 17: Romeo and Juliet
.
.
He missed her.

It was late, but he wanted to see her. She was visiting her folks back in London and he'd only a vague idea of where they lived. Getting the address from Potter was easy, and he set out on his broom (disillusioned, obviously - he wasn't keen on getting shipped back to Azkaban for breaking the Statute of Secrecy. Just the once was enough for a lifetime).

Bundled up in his favourite scarf, he hoped to surprise his witch by alighting on her balcony in the middle of the night and waxing poetic about her boundless beauty and her matchless wit. A modern day Romeo, if you will.

But alas, the muggle three-storey townhouse had no balconies or terraces, not even a Juliet balconet! Only very large, very French windows! He had no choice but to vanish the sashes, glass and all (he would magick them back later).

As it happened, she was so very happy to see him, she didn't much mind the missing window panels.

"I was just getting ready for bed. Would you like to stay the night?"

He'd like nothing more.

This sounded a lot better inside my head 😅 I really like the idea of Draco visiting Hermione in muggle London, esp her parents house, hence the window instead of a balcony. Also I didn't want to draw any balconies 🫠 Or a background (the bg pic is of Muswell Hill in North London).

I almost didn't post anything I was too tired 🫩🥱

@dhrmonth Day 11: Classical Greece

Draco and Hermione as Perseus and Andromeda 🏺💕

The myth surrounding these two is pretty interesting. Perseus falls in love with Andromeda, rescues her from a sea monster sent by Poseidon, then after some more drama they get married and have many children and get immortalised as constellations 🌌

This drawing is based on an 18th c grisaille oil painting, which in turn is based on a 2nd c Roman marble relief depicting Perseus rescuing Andromeda from the sea monster (which I didn't draw - sorry Cetus 🤭)

All three drawings for this week were based on artworks that depicted the time periods. It's been a lot of fun trying to draw with different art styles ☺️

@dhrmonth Day 9: Roaring 20s

Going for some Art Deco vibes. This one's inspired by a drawing called "The Butterfly Couple" (1923) by JC Leyendecker.

@dhrmonth Day 5: Tulip

Pink and purple tulips for yearning and longing 🌷💜

Inspiration: Purple Rain & Normal People. Two people who long for each other but can't be together and have to let go 💔

[[Basically an excuse to draw angst and use Purple Rain. There may be flowers other than tulips better suited for yearning according to Google 😅]]

The three flower prompts that I've drawn tell a story when seen together. The order of events is up to you

It's been a lot of fun drawing for Dramione Month. I'll try to draw 2 or 3 prompts for each theme. Hopefully hah I'm old and infirm 👵😬

@dhrmonth Day 2: Rose

Red roses for romance, passion and love 🌹🌹

Inspirations for this one were La Vie En Rose (English version) and Romeo+Juliet ('96) ❤️❤️

@dhrmonth Day 1: Sunflower

They're each other's sunflowers 🌻🌻
(Sunflowers mean devotion and admiration)

I didn't really plan on making anything for Dramione Month... then I saw the prompt today and this song was all I could think of 💛
