Trees dance in the wind. 300lb branches fall willy-nilly. However, my pipe still glows. My new Jason Patrick pipe hasn't wavered for even a beat, as hurricane Isaias brews on. It is the only thing keeping me calm. I haven't had to re-light even once. Just last night i was at a cigar and whisky tasting event, and here we are now. I am glad to have a top-tier pipe in hand and a great bowl to smoke!

There's something satisfying about slowing down. A favorite pipe packed with good tobacco, a quiet evening on the porch, and my Tabasco pepper plant is finally doing its thing. 🌿🔥
The peppers are almost ripe, and it's been worth every bit of patience. Funny how both pipe smoking and gardening remind you that the best things can't be rushed.
Here's to good smokes, growing seasons, and enjoying the simple moments. What are you growing this year?

New pipe tobacco acquired… and apparently I now have security. 🦜

Susanoo has stationed himself directly atop my tins like a tiny feathered dragon guarding treasure. Every time I walk by he gives me a dirty look.

I’m pretty sure he believes the tobacco belongs to him now. Rent is due in sunflower seeds, apparently. 😂

First smoke of the day 😌. Outside the weather is dreary with intermittent showers and dampness. I just opened a new tin of "King's Fool" by Drucquer & Sons, have a good book in hand, and my trusty Nording "Sitter". I haven't tried this blend before but i absolutely love a good flake cut.

This Florida Box Turtle was on his way to one of my blueberry bushes as I waited in my car for the rain to subside. Once i saw him on the move I left the car to get a few pics but mostly just to watch. I could tell that he was missing a chunk out of his front carapace, most-likely from a dog, but otherwise seemed very healthy and active. What a handsome boy 😀 #floridawildlife #floridaboxturtle #floridanature by @arcticoopa

Time to "reap" what I've sown, yet again. Not sure why I put myself through this, but those Carolina Reapers... so worth it! 👍 I've got some in the dehydrator right now. I won't be able to breathe safely for 10 hours, but hey, it builds character right? What doesn't kill you... 😏 #floridapeppers by @arcticoopa
