🏆✨ Employee of the Month | July – Dorota ✨🏆

This month, we’re celebrating our wonderful Financial Controller, Dorota! ❤️

Of course, Dorota is brilliant with numbers, but that’s only part of what makes her such an important member of the Ardoe team.

What we appreciate most is the constant help, patience and attention she gives to everyone around her. Whether it’s a question about payments, an invoice, a process, or simply “How on earth do I do this?”, Dorota is always there to help. 😅

And yes, we can ask the same question more than once… because not all of us have quite the same relationship with numbers as Dorota does! 😂

She always takes the time to explain, guide and make sure we understand, no matter how many questions we throw her way. We know that when we need help, Dorota has our back. ❤️

Congratulations, Dorota! A very well-deserved Employee of the Month! 🎉👏

🌱 Our Green Tourism Journey Continues 🌱

At Ardoe House Hotel & Spa, we believe that every small step can make a meaningful difference.

Our Green Team has been hard at work caring for our little kitchen garden, where we’re proudly growing carrots, potatoes and strawberries. It may not be the biggest harvest, but it’s something we’re incredibly proud of. Every seed planted and every vegetable nurtured reflects our commitment to creating a more sustainable future.

This is just one of the many ways we’re working to reduce our environmental impact while encouraging a greener way of thinking across our hotel. We know that sustainability is a journey, and we’re excited to keep learning, improving and finding new ways to make a positive difference for both our environment and our local community.

Earlier this year, we were proud to achieve our Green Tourism Bronze Award—an important milestone in our sustainability journey. Since then, we’ve continued to build on that success as we work towards achieving our Silver Award.

Behind the scenes, we’re also taking practical steps to measure and improve our environmental impact. Each month, we track our general waste, glass and food waste to better understand how much is being diverted from landfill and transformed into renewable energy. By monitoring our progress, we can identify opportunities to reduce waste even further.

We’re also pleased to share that none of our special hazardous waste is sent to landfill. Instead, it is responsibly recycled or reused wherever possible, and this is carefully monitored every month as part of our commitment to responsible waste management.

As we continue to strengthen our sustainability efforts, we’ve recently introduced a Climate Change Risk and Opportunity Register, helping us identify the environmental challenges ahead while recognising opportunities to make our hotel even more resilient and sustainable for the future.

A huge thank you to our Green Team for their passion, dedication and care. Together, we’re growing more than just vegetables—we’re growing a greener future. 💚🌿

👏 Employee of the Month – June 👏

A huge congratulations to Damon Collins, our Employee of the Month for June! 🎉

Damon earned this recognition for something that can’t be taught: reliability and an incredible team-first attitude. No matter what’s needed, he’s always happy to lend a hand, and chances are you’ll be greeted with his trademark answer… “Sweet!” 😄

Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble, and knowing Damon is on shift means you know you’ve got someone you can count on.

We also think there should be an unofficial award for Best Sense of Humour. Whether it’s a quick one-liner or a perfectly timed joke, Damon has a way of making even the busiest shifts fly by. Working alongside him is simply a pleasure.

Thank you, Damon, for everything you do and for bringing such a positive energy to the team. This award is thoroughly deserved! 👏⭐

💙 5 Years of Dedication. Countless Ways He's Made a Difference💙

Today we're celebrating Mamun, who marks 5 continuous years at Ardoe House Hotel since we reopened. In reality, his journey goes back even further, making him one of the people who truly knows this hotel inside and out.

There's rarely a moment when Mamun isn't busy. Whether it's supporting the team, helping management, or making sure everything is running as it should, his dedication and willingness to help never go unnoticed. As a supervisor, he leads by example every day, sharing his knowledge and helping to train new team members with patience and professionalism.

And let's be honest... if something goes missing at Ardoe, don't waste time looking for it-just ask Mamun! Somehow, he always knows where it is. After all these years, it's safe to say he knows every corner and every little secret of this hotel.

Mamun, thank you for your loyalty, your commitment and for being someone we can always count on. The support you've given to the management team, the knowledge you've shared with your colleagues, and the example you've set every single day have made a lasting impact. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Congratulations on this fantastic milestone. Here's to many more years as part of the Ardoe family!
