Meet our performers for this Friday’s Broadway in the Botanical! This cast will be singing a selection of music from great American musical theater composers to celebrate the Fourth of July and America’s 250th, here at @miamibeachgarden ! by @areastage

A speakeasy set in Depression-era New York. A Victorian workhouse. A cruise ship stage.
This is the work of Giancarlo Rodaz, Artistic Director of @areastage in Miami — and he’s been building it since he was 18.

@groduz is best known for his viral, large-scale immersive reimaginings of Disney musicals created in creative collaboration with Disney Theatricals, transforming venues into fully interactive environments where audiences moved through and took part in beloved worlds. Most recently he wrote and directed a musical adaptation aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines and collaborated with Cameron Mackintosh to reimagine Oliver! inside a meticulously recreated Victorian workhouse.

At the heart of all of it is a belief we share completely — immersive storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to inspire audiences to fall in love with the arts.

Giancarlo joins us at the Miami Immersive Summit on June 7th and we could not be more proud to have one of Miami’s own on that stage.
