Three days on and it’s still sinking in. Second marathon and a 25 minute PB. I began this year with the intention of breaking the 4 hour mark and we did it! 3 hours 50 minutes 48 seconds to be exact.

But Sunday wasn’t just about getting a PB. It was a celebration of the love and support I’ve been given by family, friends and the running community to make this PB a reality

Sunday was a victory lap and one that reminded me that community is crucial. I love London and every leg of the marathon reminded me of why I put myself through this madness.

From the Palestine flags that lined Tower Hamlets and reminded us all to never forget Gaza to my darling wife, brothers, mum and friends screaming my name to keep going.

Mile 21 in particular was super special. We all need a mile 21 in our lives and @mafiamoves_ gave me just that. It filled me with love, admiration and energy to keep going till the very end and to never forget that we are capable of more than we realise.

I wish my Dad was here to see me soar and I hope he did. But London we had business and we settled that business. Onto the next one. taken in London, Unιted Kingdom by @areeb_runs

Endure Relay was a hustle.

Roped in at the last minute to be part of Mafia Move’s mixed relay team comprising of @one_macca, @robyn.oc & @megsrao.

The relay involved us continuously running a 2.5km lap of Finsbury Park over four hours.

Not an easy feat considering 35m of elevation (I.e. it was hilly af), but between the four of us, we managed to run 24 laps.

Couldn't of done that many laps without the support of team and a solid shift where we came ninth overall. Couldn’t be prouder of the team.

Second ⭐ in the bag

Third marathon in three years. First international race. Alhamdulillah.

Had a goal in mind but the weather said otherwise. The game is the game and the marathon will always find a way to humble you. Berlin, I will be back one day. Didn't PB but progress is never linear. Chip time 4:08 hours.

Grateful to cross the finish line and to have friends, family and my beloved there cheering me on ❤️ Nothing like seeing a familiar face in the crowd after 42.2 km.

Every race teaches you something new - and forever grateful to have gotten to the finish line.

Let’s get it! 16 weeks of long miles, runs upon runs, eating gels, chocolate milk, pasta and more pasta boils down to Sunday. Getting the bib felt surreal. Not every day is about racing—some days, it’s about community. There’s nothing like a 5 AM wake-up call when it means working alongside some of your favorite people.
