when I left my last 9–5, I knew pretty quickly I didn’t want to build my career around local opportunities.

unlike a lot of SMMs, I couldn’t rely on local referrals, networking, or pitching nearby businesses. at the time, wanting overseas clients felt aspirational, maybeeee even unrealistic. but just because it feels out of reach, it doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

this one’s for all my ambitious and globally-minded creatives who want geographic freedom without feeling like you’re sacrificing your career or financial growth 🫶🏼

here’s some of what I did that later opened the door for me to work with clients in New Zealand, across Asia, US, and the UK ✈️

the hardest worker isn’t always the hardest person to replace 👀

if you’ve ever thought the answer was to work a litttleee harder, learn ONE more skill, or say yes to everything just to keep clients afloat, this is for you.

the biggest shift in my career happened when I stopped positioning myself as JUST a contractor. it started with how I showed up before clients even said yes.

(spoiler: it was never about how much I could do)
