The last couple of days with my college rooomie in Asheville, the Coffee Bus, YUMMIE eats and the best lychee martini from Ukiah, and ended with Biltmore. If anyone wondered why I’m writing in the Edwardian era, you might look at this house for a why. The Vanderbilts are an interesting study in wealth… And now I’m reading Dungeon Crawler Carl—have you read it yet? I’m really liking the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy meets Running Man vibe. Taking a jaunt to Asheville for a couple of days with a college friend. Hiked to some waterfalls along the way and ended the day at our rooftop bar, The Wildwood Still, for dinner and drinks. There are some times in this amazing, frustrating, rewarding profession of an author where the moment is one of such wonder that it will be set in my memory forever. For me, setting up my table at the @halfpricebooks Flagship Store to sign books and take part in a panel talking about romance was one of those moments. I’ve been going to HPB’s for decades and introduced my parents to the brand so that every time they visited, they would take home at least a box of books. I mean, I did too, so totally on brand for us! Thank you Half Price Books—it was a wonderful afternoon! by @areidwrites

A guilty pleasure for me is watching thrifting videos—I love a deal but I don’t need more stuff, so it seems to fit me at this point. Never in all my years of thrifting, visiting flea markets (indoor and outdoor), yard sales, and antiquing have I EVER seen this rolling pin holder.
