A win to cap off a big weekend for @ares_reading 🥇

After returning from injury, Ares took the win Sunday in the Mammoth Trail Fest 26K, breaking two hours with a 1:59:12.

He took the lead on the climb with about nine miles to go and really stretched things out on the downhill.

“It felt great crossing the line. It was surreal watching this race on the livestream last year when I first started trail running, and then being here a year later, finishing first and breaking two hours on the course.”

From watching the race last year to winning it this year. Now, some good momentum heading into the WMRA World Cup Final in two weeks. 👊⛰️

A solid step forward for @ares_reading 👊

Coming back from injury is never easy, and today was another reminder that the fitness is coming back. 4th in 37:43 Dragon’s Back Ascent at Mammoth Trail Fest, just 1:41 off the win in a strong field.

“It hurt pretty bad from the start, but it was awesome progress coming back off injury. I’m so excited for Sunday, and this was a great step towards that.”

Progress made. Now onto Sunday. 🔥
