POSTS STORIES REELS

Halfway through 2026.

Six months ago I shared my ins and outs for the year.

Some things have become habits. Others are still works in progress.

This year has reminded me that small habits really do change your life. Consistency beats motivation. Peace is productive. Confidence comes from keeping promises to yourself, and progress isn’t always obvious but it adds up.

I’m not aiming for perfection just becoming a little better than I was yesterday.

The last wedding guest look of 2026! 🖤🩶✨

What a year it’s been for weddings! I’ve had so much fun dressing up and celebrating love. A few weddings didn’t make it onto my page because, quite frankly, they were abysmal! 😂 But that’s a conversation for another day.

Ending the wedding season in Ghana 🇬🇭 for my cousin’s traditional wedding. I love international weddings because they bring extended family together from all over the world.

The wedding was held at the infamous The Underbridge in East Legon, and it was all about glitz and glamour!

For my final look, I wore this ASOS EDITION charcoal sequin dress with beautiful fringe detailing.

And let’s talk about the HAIR! 😍 I went for intricate curved cornrows with braided swirl detailing and curly hair at the back.

I’ve always considered my hair part of my fashion. Just like my bags, shoes and jewellery, the hairstyle has to complement the outfit, and this one was a statement piece in itself!

Finished the look with a black and silver embellished bag and black heels.

And that’s a wrap on my 2026 wedding guest looks! 🖤 by @aretha_pippa

Wedding guest fit ✨

Recently had the pleasure of watching an old school friend marry the love of her life. Both the bride and groom are Yoruba, and as someone who absolutely loves a Yoruba traditional wedding, I was very excited for this one! 🇳🇬

The dress code for family and friends was gold, and I immediately knew what I was wearing. I’ve had this white and gold Virgos Lounge dress sitting in my wardrobe for the LONGEST time, just waiting for the right occasion.

In fact, I’d had it for so long that by the time I finally wore it, it was about a size or two too big 😂 The dress was so long on me it basically created its own little train behind me!

But it finally got its moment. 🤍✨

White, gold and a beautiful Yoruba wedding — definitely worth the wait. by @aretha_pippa

There’s just something about a traditional Ghanaian wedding 🇬🇭🤍

When it comes to traditional weddings, you already know the assignment — all white unless you’re coming in your Kente! 😂

This one had a little twist though — no pure white. The colour palette was ivory and cream, which I absolutely loved.

I went for ivory this time and, of course, had to make the whole look come together from head to toe. by @aretha_pippa

Chocolate brown… who knew? 🤎

A colour I would normally avoid because it’s so close to my skin tone, but I think I’ve just found a new favourite.

You know I like everything to match 😂
Chocolate brown hair & shades, gold strappy heels, gold bangles, gold Casio, gold rings, gold cat-eye nails and a little pop of orange with the bag.

New Autumn/Winter colour palette unlocked 🍂
Chocolate brown + burnt orange.
I’ll definitely be experimenting with these two a lot more. by @aretha_pippa

Wedding Guest Fit ✨

The brief was summer and autumn tones, so I decided to shop my own wardrobe rather than buy something new.

This Hertunba dress was originally purchased for my birthday and remains one of my favourite pieces. Lightweight, flattering and perfect for a summer wedding.

A little reminder that sometimes the best outfit is the one you already own. 🧡

The dress code for the guests was baby blue, and this was the closest dress I had to the theme. As this year I am going to be wearing things that I have in the closet.

What I love most about this dress is how much it gives modern West African / aso ebi energy in the detailing. The corseted structure, lace finish and the button detailing along the back just make it feel so elegant.

This is actually an old ASOS Luxe Curve piece I’ve had for nearly 3 years now, and even though I’ve only worn it a handful of times, it still remains one of my favourite occasion dresses.

Definitely one of those pieces that still holds up years later by @aretha_pippa

March wedding…

Went for a golden brown satin ASOS gown, full length with a soft drape and side split.

Kept it elegant with gold jewellery, black strappy heels and my favourite handbag.
Added a Gye Nyame brooch for a subtle Ghanaian touch.

Soft curls and neutral cat eye nails to finish. by @aretha_pippa
